Why Do I Need to Invest in Support?

So. This is a REAL, RAW & UNCUT AF convo that I had with one of my mentors the other day... (my inner commentary is in parenthesis) 😅

Me: *Asking a mentor for suggestions on how to sort myself out and get back on the saddle in my businesses...*

Mentor: Your businesses can all be successful because you're you. (🎤drop...) What's holding you back?

Me: Fear...

Mentor: Of???

Me: Fear of failing and succeeding. Either way it feels like a lose lose… even though I know that’s not true. And transitioning into motherhood has been a lot of work. Fear of what people will think, fear of how differently I’ll show up now that I have a baby. My life is totally different now than it was before, and I don’t really know how to translate all of this into motivation for myself.

And if I’m honest, I fear being financially secure, because idk what that actually feels like. (Yes I said this, and yes I'm sharing this here, because I KNOW there's someone else in this space who can relate...)

Mentor: I see that all as a part of who you are and what you preach. Visibility. What do you think your followers would gain by hearing about this new reality? (damn, another 🎤 drop...lol) Who can you help that might be feeling the same way? Continue to build your tribe. Those who love you, love you. Those who don't, can just FO. (yassssss!)

Me: Lol - Yeah I was just thinking that. I know my transparent and authentic sharing about real life shit is the biggest part of why most people like me and my message.

I am working on getting myself over the crippling fear of just showing up and sharing so that someone else can see that even flamboyant people like me struggle sometimes, and that life & Biz are not always just rainbows, sunshine and glittery unicorn farts! lol

So there you have it folks...sometimes, we just have to waddle our way through shit, and THIS is why I will ALWAYS invest in support. ALWAYS.

I will always work with mentors and coaches, because I cannot serve my people as an effective coach or mentor, if I'm not ALSO staying teachable, and keeping myself suspended in support.

This transition shit is for the birds!!!

BUT! I wouldn't have it any other way. Why?

Bc this is my journey, and me going on my journey will help other women on their journey too. That I'm sure of.

The moral of the story? My best biz tip is to ALWAYS be in support. ALWAYS have someone who's at least a step ahead of you, that can help you process through whatever you're going through. ALWAYS have a mentor if you want to BE a good mentor...

If you're looking for some amazing support from like-minded fem-preneurs, then I'm inviting you to join my Explosive Exposure Facebook Group! Myself & 400 other beautiful women are ready to lift you up, help you achieve your goals, and be there with you every step of the way!

Thanks for reading babes!

xoxo, Heather
